On February 15, 1990 Jose Luis Rojas Jr. was born in Riverside, California. From an early age Jose exhibited a passion for music rarely seen in a small child. He learned to play the guitar at just five years of age. At the age of seven, Jose was selected to play in his church band where he continued to play till he was eleven years old. With an ever growing hunger and passion for music he learned how to DJ when he was just thirteen years old. It was during this stage in his career when he adopted his first professional name, DJ Kritical. The knowledge he gained from that time would be instrumental in propelling him into the next stage of his career. When Jose turned 16 he turned toward music production. With a keen sense of timing and the vision of producers much senior to him, Jose started creating music that quickly became a sound in demand. While working with various up and coming artists in Southern California, word spead of his talent and ability. It was during this time he adopted the final name that he is known for everywhere to this date……. Kritical. He was mentored and influenced by the amazing producer of Streetlight Music known as Fingazz. He has performed on stage as a DJ, a producer and an artist. In 2010 hepartnered with Benjamin L. Quintero of Colt Boy Entertainment Group to write and produce theme songs for reality television shows. Kritical continues to create mega-beats for artists all over. His latest endeavor is to bring a new sound to airwaves by being an artist/producer himself. With management by Colt Boy Entertainment Group, the continued support of Streetlight Music and a passion for music and the industry, Jose “Kritical” Rojas looks to set the standard for a new music revolution.
